Many years ago I was lucky enough to visit the Jeu de Paume in Paris where they displayed a breath taking collection of Monet’s Waterlily paintings. The room had curved walls and I was advised to lie on the bench in the middle of it, close my eyes and very gradually open them and look around. It was as if you were floating in the middle of the pond at Giverny and I never forgot those incredible effects of light on water. In 1996 I started designing jewellery and my very first attempt was a Monet collection. The National Gallery in London gave me some of my first orders and I’m delighted to say that the Monet collection is still among their top selling jewellery - and of ours.
