BEHIND THE DESIGN

The Inspiration

We have gathered blackberries from the Glebe fields behind the church in previous years. A recent addition to our garden is a thornless blackberry plant. The plump blackberries I gather now, without the prickles, are frozen, awaiting the ripening of cooking apples so I can make blackberry & apple pie! These moments of foraging to create delicious meals from nature's produce have inspired this design.
